I can't express how poorly I've been treated as a business account customer. Eastern Bank has a broken, toxic culture.
The Eastern Bank Branches in Boston are Five Star. However, unfortunately one has to often deal with Headquarters in Lynn. Lynn is a totally different culture. Calls are rudely received, written communications are harsh and cold, and efficiency is horrible. Recently I received a strange letter from Headquarters telling me I had returned a communication from them and that it had been in the briefcase of their Auditor who was dumb enough to have his or her briefcase stolen.
