What has happened to the iconic Charcoal Chicken shop at East gosford……. $40 for 1 chicken, what looks like potato bake and 1 piece of the soggiest pumpkin I have ever seen and Peas, oh and a container of gravy. Used to get actual roasted potatoes and pumpkin and would feed a family of 4. Will not be back……..

Dry-roasted charcoal chickens with zero flavour. That’s what we got for two family combos, alongside a mountain of limp, soggy chips and a 750 ml takeaway container of thick, glue-like gravy. On a 42-degree day, with the inside even hotter due to a broken air conditioner, I seriously question the food safety standards of this dingy looking premises. Honestly, the only positive was the take away Greek salad and the staff. I genuinely feel sorry for them having to work in those conditions.
What I ordered: "A half chicken & chips with chicken salt, and a side of gravy". What I received: A half chicken & chips, no chicken salt, with what seems like a litre of gravy poured over everything. It was so disappointing to open it at home 10 minutes later to find out they didn't follow simple instructions (chicken salt, and gravy on side).
