Steve and Amber and the ECM team are fantastic to work with! They have helped me with my (new to me) 1999 Catalina 36 MK II, from small jobs like removing the sails and stack pack, to helping install a serious winter cover, and most recently, replacement of all standing rigging. This was a huge job, that included replacement of leaky chain plates, all new rigging, new mast wiring for all lighting, new lifelines, and winch servicing. They have given my 25 year old boat a new lease on life, and addressed age and safety concern... read more

Really pissed me off. Hired them to replace a halyard I use for hoisting and climbing. I ordered a 12 mm dyneema core. They marked it up 20% which is pretty normal. However they installed a 10 mm. They then made an excuse for why. They showed up with 12 mm standard double braid to replace it. When I said that is not right. I got an attitude and “Why do you need that load capacity” Because that is what I ordered and paid for with a mark up on it. Nothing worse than getting attitude when they made the mistake.

A shout out to Steve and crew at ECMR. I brought over my old jib sheets to have new ones made up. I was greeted with a smile and a friendly face. Steve was off property, but the young woman wrote down my request and said they’d get to it ASAP. When Steve returned, he walked over to our boat to talk and make color suggestions. I had my new sheets with carefully sealed and sewn up ends. I surely appreciate the great customer service and professionalism - couldn’t recommend them more highly. Great crew doing exceptional work. We did several jobs with them and I can't say enough good about them. Work done on Caliber 47: rig inspection, replaced backstay, tune rig, rebed leaky chain plate, replace in-mast furling motor, and more. They were always quick to answer questions and spent the extra time to help us learn. They even came out on short notice when I had screwed up furling and needed help unjamming the main sail. We will definitely be working with them in the future.
