Service was very good. But what I didn't realise was that from Brisbane airport, you need to take a free shuttle to the rental counter to collect the car. Which is some 10mins away. But with the wait, for shuttle and queue for car collection. It all adds up to an hour or so. So do cater for enough time in your itinerary.
My rental experience with East Coast was very unpleasant. I picked up the car at Brisbane airport, and returned at Brisbane City. The Brisbane airport staff member literally spent more time on trying to sell their insurance to me than talking to me about the vehicle. I was even asked if I was able to pay $5k if anything happened to the car. It makes me feel that East Coast is more like a car insurance broker than a rental company.
