I can’t say enough positive things about Diane and Earth Studios! I stayed in the suite and did a mini residency with Diane for 2 weeks, during my first trip to Canada from the UK. I had full access to the studio, as well as such valuable lessons with Diane. She was kind, fun, patient and so knowledgable. The beginner pottery class is something special. Deirdre was our teacher for the 6 week wheel introduction and she was incredibly knowledgeable, patient and talented. I've been hooked ever since and attending Diane's open studio at least once every week. Open studio is a lot of fun, you can observe potters at every stage of experience and walk of life, and when you're lucky, Diane will buzz in and create some kind of masterpiece while explaining the connection between the earth, the arts, the mind and the body. eARTh studios is a wonderful addition to the Nelson community. The owner, Diane, is a very skilled potter and teacher, and is just a lovely person to be around and connect with. Diane handled our large group Christmas party with ease, laughter and good grace. She was so patient and made some of our team true artists. Will definitely recommend her for any large group/ corporate activities and we cannot wait to use her services again!!
