I highly recommend stopping here for water, refreshments, jerky, souvenirs, and photo opportunities. Definitely worth the visit. I bought some souvenirs and nice refreshing water. There is plenty of free parking spots available. Also, photos are permitted inside and outside.

I stopped at ET Fresh Jerky in Hiko, Nevada because I was lost. This is not unusual in Nevada. You can drive for three hours, see nothing but desert, power lines and a suspicious-looking mountain, and eventually arrive at a place decorated with flying saucers where you begin to question whether you are lost, or whether civilization itself has simply moved somewhere else. I honestly can't decide which was worse: the food, the prices, or the "customer service". Absolutely terrible jerky, my soda was beyond flat, and the cashier literally never spoke one single word to me whatsoever. Not a hello, didn't tell me my total, no goodbye, literally total silence. Pathetic. Will never return.

I asked for help finding a gluten free option and was pleasantly surprised to find the Mango Habanero flavor. It was SUPER spicy but delicious and tender. I’d definitely recommend trying it out if you’re in the area.
