I had an awesome experience today at Dury’s Guns. I’m headed to a dove hunt tomorrow and needed a reliable shotgun. I walked in with a hand-me-down shotgun I got from my dad. I had completely disassembled it and I needed some help from a qualified gunsmith. The gunsmith (Larry) was extremely knowledgeable and gave me the honest advice I needed to hear- I’d be better off getting a different gun. I just took delivery of a 1960s vintage Remington 700. The transaction was perfect from start to finish. I had never dealt with Drurys before, but found a rifle they had on Gunbroker that was just what i was looking for. These rifles are hard to come by and I needed one for Vietnam-era sniper rifle build. These folks are nothing short of GREAT! The price, shipping cost and packaging were all top shelf. Bought my first gun today and had such an awesome experience. The owner, Johnny, personally spent over an hour a half with me to help me purchase a shotgun that suited me best. Taught me so much about everything from dismantling and cleaning the shotgun to intricate details about the choke and more. Answered every question I had. Friendly man who wanted me to have a gun that would last a lifetime. Good honest person. I cannot recommend him and his store enough. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They are definitely salespeople but they are not pushy. And I will definitely go back there.
