A short while ago I had the fortune to experience the Durham Salt Cave,,, OH MY! Just prior to my appointment, perhaps coincidentally, I had enjoyed the pleasurable notion of motion with in an ecstatic dance wave next door. The Durham Salt Cave is a delightful escape. The ambiance is warm and inviting. The Cave experience with the zero gravity chairs, relaxing music, hot stones and of course salt air were very relaxing. We will be back
This is a must do! If you are looking for a restorative experience in the heart of Durham, this is the place. I booked a session for my oldest daughters 28th birthday. We were greeted by a lovely young woman named Kelsey who set us up with a fresh brewed cup of peppermint tea, while we waited for our session. I took my husband here for his birthday to have a unique experience. We did the 45 min salt cave/sound therapy and we had a lovely, relaxing time. We booked the salt suite, but since there were no other parties at our appointment time we were “upgraded” to the cave. I wore a tank and thick leggings because it was a cold day, but next time I’ll probably wear shorts to be able to expose as much of myself as possible while in the cave.
