Bought my vehicle used 1 year ago, paid registration then. One year later, doubled the mileage, yet my Durham and Durham county registration taxes both come in ~24% more expensive. Can someone help me explain how this place thinks an older, higher mileage car, appraises by 24% in value? they should start buying cars instead of charging taxes, cuz I'd be happy to sell it at that price

Spoke to Teresa and she helped me with my concerns. She was very kind and professional and made sure I had all the info I needed regarding property tax on a car that I brought but had to return.

Awful customer service on the phone. I called to follow up and see if some documents I had faxed to them had indeed been received. The lady on the phone kept insisting that they don't have a received department for faxed documents. I told her it was pertaining to my vehicle taxes and that I was told to fax it to their fax number at that office, yet she kept insisting that I get ahold of the land tax department for the entire state. And then she hung up on me without any warning.
