Everett's two sons, Mark & Trace, took over the family business in 1983. Four years later they opened a second store in Osage, Iowa to better serve Northeast and North Central Iowa. Warning. I will never return to Dungey's Furniture and Floors. Too many complaints at the Better Business Bureau and at the Attorney Generals office as they don't stand behind their products. The stuff on the showroom looks fine, but they have delivered furniture that was broken, finish is coming off the table after a couple months, slats on chairs are cracked, wood has splintered off the chairs and I have had to put tape on it so someone does not catch their clothes on this.
My boyfriend decided on a NEW set of furniture at Dungey's Furniture and Floors in New Hampton IA, but then were told that this unit was "just sold to someone else." So they then sold us on another NEW more expensive set saying they could deliver next day. After waiting a week they finally delivered a different set that was also damaged, claiming we agreed to a floor model of a completely DIFFERENT set.
Horrible experience. Tried to sell us used/returned furniture as new. When we questioned them they, blamed it on us.
We appreciated McKenzie's help in selecting coordinating recliners and sofas. Thank you!
