This airport offers great arrangement of eateries evenly lined up along both sides of wide vinyl flooring and areas of industrial carpet with central standard accessible tables and high top tables, I love the wide open aisles in Terminal C with parade of flanges of various countries. I've been using IAD Airport for years, and it has consistently been a reliable airport for both domestic and international travel. I have Global Entry, which makes the arrival process extremely fast and convenient, especially after long international flights. Over the years, I've found the airport to be clean, well organized, and easy to navigate. My experience flying in/out of dulles airport has been good. This airport is actually located quite far from metropolitan DC but fares are much cheaper on United when flying out of this airport compared to DCA. This airport is very well connected by the DC airport metro and the terminal has a really classy design. You do have to take the mobile lounge between satellite gates to/from the main terminal but they are quick and always on time. Had a great experience at this airport, it tends to confuse some travelers. The baggage claim was smooth and we got some amazing photos of the architecture and there was a to scale LEGO building of the airport itself. We flew in from the West Coast so the trip itself is pretty rough. Standard food places, nothing too outstanding. Cheers!
