Rude older reddish haired lady. Very disappointing as we were going to spend money and had already spotted an item or two we were planning to purchase from the window. I was going in to the store with my two kids in the stroller and unfortunately, an older woman with reddish hair abruptly and rudely came up to us and told us we could not come in with the stroller as there was no room. I was treated terribly within the first 60 seconds of stepping foot in this store. I was scolded like a child for simply taking a quick photo of an item I thought a friend would like. I just wanted to check with them before buying. After being told about the “no photos” rule, which I immediately respected, the employee still repeated loudly, “Do you understand?” in the most condescending tone imaginable. DuJardin is absolutely the most beautiful shop. The owner curates magnificent pieces from all around Europe and brings them to our town. This is my go to shop for gift giving and prices for my own home.
Two stars for the gorgeous gift wares in the shop, and giving me the ideas for certain gifts. Lost one for how incredibly expensive said gift wares are, lost two more for the most incredibly rude shopkeeper I have encountered in a long time. I don't know where this lovely, helpful person that other reviewers mention is hiding, but the woman who said that it was her store when I stopped in, was the polar opposite.
