I purchased a pair of shoes online and selected the “in-store” pickup option. I called about 9 or 10 days later and was told my order wasn’t in yet. This was no problem at all. I told the employee on the phone that I wanted to make sure I was able to pick them up in time because I didn’t want her to return them. She said she would put a note on them to hold them. Went in this morning to pick them up, walked up to the front desk (where the employee was eating) and told her I was there to pick up an online order. This employee never greeted me or felt warm and welcoming at all. After she couldn’t find my name in the system, I pulled up my order number on my phone. She told me the order had been cancelled. Then she turned around and pulled my shoes out of the cabinet with my name and a hold note on them. She informed me that I was a day late picking them up and they should have been returned to the floor yesterday. I told her I had called to make sure that didn’t happen (I live in La Center and don’t make it to Portland very often). Anyway, she told me I could purchase the shoes for $50. When I ordered them online, they were $30!! This was my first experience with DSW. The whole process was a hassle and the customer service was terrible! This woman was not kind, friendly or helpful in regards to tracking my order and helping me understand their policy for this type of transaction. I understand the store has its policies but even a friendly smile can go a long way. I do not plan to purchase shoes here again.

I️ bought a fantastic pair of rain boots here in early fall, but the top of them wore out way too fast and split. I️ was able to exchange them without any hassle so I️ have a brand new pair of boots! Tiffany was very helpful! Thank you DSW JANTZEN BEACH.
