Would recommend both the service and experience! Super easy to deal with, very helpful and clear with insurance and pick up instructions. We visited as part of a cruise and couldn’t have been easier. We did the Klondike highway down to Carcross, and the Honda was a noble steed! Little bit of a tip if you do the same trip, we drove down without stopping at the popular spots, Yucon bridge, photo spots etc, then stopped on the way back up after lunch in Carcross, that way the cruise tours moved on!
I would definitely recommend drive about car rentals in Skagway. It was a great experience. The car was older with quite a few miles but suited our needs just fine. It was parked right off the ship and instructions were very clear. Thank you for making our trip to Skagway great. We even saw a bear on our trip.
Super easy & convenient car rental if you’re on a cruise. Yes it’s a little pricey compared to what you might expect, but it’s tourist season in Alaska… everything is! Good communication and the car ran well. We had the Kia Soul :) Will definitely rent again the next time we visit!
The reservation process was easy enough and communication was mostly good prior to our arrival. The car was easy to find once we got off of our cruise ship. The car was an 18 year old Subaru with 195,000 miles. I drive older cars, so this wasn't much of a concern for me. My main concern came a couple of hours later. We had driven approx 75 miles and were in Carcross, Yukon when the check engine light came on.
