Tried doing a 2024 return, got told I did not have any PPR. Went to purchase and it purchased for 2025, they would not refund. Paying for each signature when the system doesn't work and the signature box does not get filled is incredible. Will not be using Drake next year. Garbage program, bad customer service.
Be sure to double check your Trades if you use the populate trades. I recently had an issue that some long term stocks were classified as short term (no all only about a 42 out of 161 of trades. The explanation I got from Gruntworx was there is a glitch in the software with an apology. No offer of any kind of refund or credit back to my account. I am a first-time Drake user after more than 30 years using ATX. I switched mainly because ATX customer service declined significantly. Drake has a steep learning curve and does not match ATX in usability, but I chose it because of its reputation for strong customer support. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience. I've been using Drake for 11 years and have witnessed the downfall of the support over this software. Where once they would answer the support line in under 5 minutes, they now have a hold time of at least 30 minutes. Then, once you get through, there's less than a 20% chance that the support team will actually know how their software works. You have smaller wait times calling the IRS, which is pathetic. In summary, their fees go up every year, while their quality drops down. Find other software options.
It is with a heavy heart that I write this review. I have been using Drake for the past fifteen years. I have strongly suggested some of my peers use it. Unfortunately, the last two years has seen them drop from a five star to barely a two star software application.
