I have used Drake Tax for 2 years. This past summer I signed up for Drake Portals - an online document signing and storage service. After using the free 2 week trial, I paid for an annual subscription. I used the service for several documents. After 1 month I could not log in to my account. After 2 weeks of calling Drake Support (they never called me with an update) , I was informed that there had been an error in their system that had canceled my subscription and deleted all of my files. They killed PowerBASIC, and have completely failed to respond to any requests to sell it or make it open source. Their customer service needs to answer their emails!
We have been using Gruntworx to populate our tax software for many years. There have been glitches from the tax software end (CCH and UltraTax) - Andrew has helped resolve every glitch - he knows his program... Andrew is fantastic to work with as is all the crew at Gruntworx. Thy have the best software support team I have ever worked with!
Service is getting worse and during summer it is zero out of 10. The software is not user friendly at all. Intuit products and great service will beat Drake software in minutes.
