This was an amazing experience. I have always wanted to learn how to forge a blade. Our instructor Forged in Fire Champion Matthew Parkinson was super knowledgeable and extremely patient with us newbies. At the end of this experience I came home with a Chef Knife made by my own hands ( with a lot of help from Matt). I look forward to doing this again. Jamie was awesome! He's a kind and patient instructor, and it was a joy to be in his class. I had a ton of fun making a cool knife for myself!
We just wrapped up our 1st bladesmithing parent/teen class with Jamie. One of the best Father’s Day gift! It wasn’t an easy day, but it was definitely worth it. Not only did I get to spend the day with my son doing something we’ve been talking about for a long time after watching Forged in Fire, but getting to do with with a Forged in Fire winner was next level.
