I was so excited when this doctor was willing to work with our two daughters. There were not many providers that took our insurance in the area and the doctor's wife was very sweet and helped me to navigate the insurance info in the beginning. One daughter came through easily and with no unexpected issues. The other daughter had three separate infections in the same tooth removal site and each time, we had to drive back in to have it looked at before he would prescribe an antibiotic. That would have been ok except that he stabbed a metal pick into the abscess to tear it open and drain it with no Novocain, no numbing...nothing. My husband was with her this time. She came home in tears and her whole face was swollen up again for more than 24 hours. When we had to go back in the second time, I mentioned this to the dr and asked that he do something to make her more comfortable. I was also questioning why this infection kept coming back. I wanted to know what we could do to prevent an infection returning or if I was missing some information that could help. He got defensive and said that he could not control when a patient gets an infection. I was not that worried about the infection. I was worried about the way he treated the infection, causing further pain to my daughter and wanted avoid putting her through it again if we could do something on our end. He lanced it again (this time numbing the area first). He prescribed another antibiotic. The infection came back again 10 days later. When the infection came back this time, we paid out of our own pocket for her to go to another dentist. The infection never came back after that. My daughters had their surgeries in March and in May of 2019. Out of the blue, 12 months later, I get a call telling me that they had been trying to get the insurance to cover the last bit but they were unsuccessful and that I owe another $230! AFTER 12 months! I said fine. Send me a bill. That was in mid-March. That week, the pandemic hit. I have not received a paycheck since March 22nd. So, I had not paid the bill yet. After all, they waited a year to send it to me. For the last 2 months, I have received countless letters, phone calls and now a threat to turn me over to a credit bureau. I called them and asked for a little more time. They told me that I would have to set up a payment plan. YOU waited almost a year to bill me, have already received over $4200 from the insurance company and another $1500 from us directly and you are threatening to ruin my credit in the middle of a pandemic over $230.39! It is being paid today to stop the calls and letters and stop it from hitting my credit. You will get your money, but I hope you will rethink the way that you treat patients.
Business Response:

I'm so sorry to hear about your bad experiences. We do appreciate your feedback. Most of our patents have a positive experience here and we will work harder to ensure that all do.

I got my wisdom tooth removed yesterday; Dr. Peleaux and his team were great, very professional and fast, my impacted wisdom tooth was almost horizontal and was supposed to be a tough extraction, but, Dr. Peleaux pulled it out quite easily, I was out in 30 mins. I highly recommend the doc and his team.

This office staff and the Dr were so great! I am not someone who enjoys having major surgery in my mouth 😣 however, this was the best experience I have had with an oral surgeon or dentist. Thank you for keeping me so comfortable!!

Dr Ramon D Peleaux is Amazing and so his his staff. They are Very Punctual with their appointment times and very caring when it come to their patients. I had three daughters have their wisdom teeth removed in the last four months at this office and would gladly refer all my friends to go to Dr Peleaux for their oral surgeon needs.
