I had a TERRIBLE experience with Dr. Monika Drago and the Counseling and Wellness Center of Pittsburgh. Her approach was basically so you think you have ADHD, huh? Prove it. She started off asking "well why are you just now looking for help? What changed?" Fair question, except her tone wasn't curiosity; her tone was skepticism and doubt. She kept going on and on about making a checklist and shortly there's a process that you can follow to to not forget things. This Dr if you wanna call her is extremely unprofessional. She is also a sub oxone doctor in natro na heights wich means she is supposed to help her patients overcome addiction. Instead she will threaten the patient s with having their kids removed....call the patients other drs....and pharmacies and make up stories. She is a control freak and should not be alloweed to help addicts. She should not threaten patients that she is going to contact cyf she should not be alloweed to prescribe sub oxone at all but i guess at 250$ p... read more
Dr.Drago is the most cold hearted unprofessional rudiest Dr. I ever met and shes always running behind so expect a long wait in the waiting room everytime i leave her office im in tears from her rude comments oh ya she loves to tell you about yourself..
If you don't mind a wait well beyond your scheduled appointment time (often 2+ hours or more), then you'll have a fine experience. It's sad when corporate tells you she's been counselled about running patients through the ringer, and making others wait and wait and wait, but the behavior continues. Being thorough is one thing, having no regard for your patient's time concerns is another. Blaming the patient as an excuse is both unprofessional and self righteous.
It feels very strange to review a therapist on Google Maps, but I feel that she needs something other than two 1-star reviews. It is true she runs late sometimes, but my experience has always been that she treats her patients with compassion and tends to have a reason when previous appointments run long. With the quantity of ADHD/ADD people that see her, at least some will happily trade a longer wait time for understanding when we ourselves are late.
