Dr. Barnard has been my physician, as well as my husband's, since 1978. At all times, he has been caring, compassionate and extremely knowledgeable. He has made emergency visits to the hospital for my husband on several occasions when he was having allergic reactions to an unknown substance. That matter has now been resolved and all is well. I would highly recommend Dr. Barnard and his entire staff without any hesitation.
My family has been using this doctor for almost 15 years. While I sometimes have to wait a while if I want to see Barnard specifically (he is the chief of the hospital, after all, he only has office hours some days) I almost never have to wait if I see one of the two assosciates physicians. Barnard is very helpful, although blunt about your health, and is very knowledgeable. I definitely recommend him!
This doctor is horrible! My husband severly sprained his ankle and is out of work for a week but luckily we have Aflac and all we needed was for them to fill out a short form saying what was wrong with him. They told us it would be $15.00 just to fill out the form and we had already paid our co-pay. They are very short with you and dont ask many questions plus you wait forever to even see anyone. I would never tell anyone to go to this horrible unprofessional doctor.
Used this doctor for last 6 years. Listens to you, asks a lot of questions and is generally very interested in your health. Do have to wait occassionally but not more than 20 minutes or so. Can be a little blunt at times and office is very busy so be on time!
If you want to have time to read "War & Peace" completely, this is the place for you. Average wait time is at least 1 hour - and that is in the lobby. One you get in the exam room it can be anywhere from 30 minutes to over 2 hours. This actually happened to me - they forgot I was there! They rush in when they do get to you, don't ask a lot of questions and make you feel like you are a total fool and an inconvenience to their day.
