I was disappointed with my visit. Dr . Dishman never even examined me but still charged full price for a first time visit. She looked uncomfortable walking in ridiculously high heels. If you're looking for an alternative medicine physician Dr.Goode-Kanawati is an excellent alternative medicine doctor. And Barbara Connor in Durham is a superior, unbelievably good acupuncturist.

I saw Dr. Dishman multiple times in person and via phone. Each time, I felt like she would rather be doing something else and rushed through the visit. I believe she has a good command of her field, but her bedside manner always felt like she was inpatient with having to explain the test results and educate. She also ended one conversation somewhat abruptly so she could go in the other room to type up the visit summary, clearly wanting to avoid spending any additional time after the appointment. I've been seeing Dr. Dishman for many years, and am so grateful for her knowledge and expertise in functional medicine. I leave our hour long sessions feeling heard and armed with a plan that addresses my concerns or symptoms as a whole person.
