They’ve got a lot of stock but I waited 15 minutes to be served in a nearly empty store. Could I have flagged down one of the workers who was carrying boxes back and forth while yapping to their coworker? Sure. But when a customer is stood by the same pair of boots looking around desperately trying to make eye contact perhaps the burden of service is on you.
Shoutout Josh, was a great help with sizing and very knowledgeable about the range both current and past. Ended up picking up a pair of dark brown 1460s and was shown how to care for them and apply balsam.

As a queer neurospicy bean, this store was an island of safety amidst a sea of existential dread brought on by Capitalism and overstimulation. Already quite dysregulated, I immediately felt more at ease, safer, and like I was among my people just from walking into the store. I had room to breathe, cool music to chill to, and really enjoyed hearing the staff chat to each other and the other customers. And that's nothing to say of the *shoes*.
