What a great place to be at. Outstanding polite and friendly staff. And they stand by their return policy and treat you just as important as they did at the original purchase when I exchanged and down sized the shoes I hadn’t worn yet. And the sales staff made sure I was happy with the new fit and purchases. When I left point of sale I felt like a valued customer and I look forward to going back to buy more gorgeous bags shoes and socks. The Dr Martin shop Charlestown is my favourite store.
Having been a vintaged wearer of Dr. Martens since I was in my teens, I decided to take the 2hr trip to my local Dr. Martens store at Charlestown as I was looking for new shoes to wear to a wedding, and I wanted to look as authentically me as I could while still looking like a glamorous old lady. Today I was assisted by Ashton and it was the best experience I’ve had in this Doc Martens store. She truly went above and beyond and paid close attention when I tried on the shoes to ensure I was receiving the correct fit. Her product knowledge and friendly approach is something a lot of retail stores are missing these days so it’s wonderful to see someone take such care in their role. Tuesday, the 27th at 3pm Upon entering the store, the first staff member was engaged in conversation with friends and appeared inconvenienced and annoyed when we required assistance. She then returned to her conversation. A second staff member then came to assist us, however she seemed disinterested. I was very thankful but no response. Overall, the level of customer service was poor, we were also the only customers. This experience led us to leave and take our business to Platypus instead.
Very disappointed with the lady staff at your shop this afternoon , very rude , not even helping us to find sizes with the shoe that kind of attitude should not be tolerated specially she’s attending customer. The way she look at us i can tell she’s wondering if we can afford to buy it. Well we bought the shoe coz my daughter love it.. but definitely wont come back again ! Shes in the wrong job !!!
