I decided I needed to get some trumpet lessons after hitting a plateau with my playing and found Jonathan. My son has been learning the violin since he was little. After we came to the U.S. a little over two years ago, he started 6th grade in New York. I've been taking lessons with Jonathan over the course of a few months now, and I don't intend to stop anytime soon. Right from the start, he was extremely receptive and enthusiastic towards my goals as a trumpet player and musician. With a few probing questions, he was able to discern my level of playing, and we were immediately able to get to work. I was so lucky to find Jonathon as my trumpet teacher. As a former intermediate player who has been off the instrument for years, he immediately really tapped into what I needed to focus on, then began incorporating more concepts into my playing. The improvement in a short period of time has been dramatic, And he has motivated me to practice more to keep that improvement going. I'm excited to see what I can do with his help.
