I had a slip and fall on the ice and had a compound fracture of my right leg. Both the fibula and tibia were broken. The doctor performed surgery to reset the bones and used an external fixation device. After 6 weeks, he said the bones were not healing properly and rejoining. He talked about using a bone graft from my hip. I freaked out, was frightened, and frantic.
