We used Down East Transportation for all our travel between Bangor & Bar Harbor return & to explore Arcadia National Park over a four day period. The people on the phone giving us advice were friendly & knowledgeable. The drivers, without fail, were patient, good humoured & also very helpful about where to jump off for different hikes. The price for our transfers between Bangor & Bar Harbor was extremely reasonable & the Bar Harbor Island Explorer service was free - what's not to like! One stop to Bangor per a day M-F is a joke. How can anyone take a day trip on one ride. It would be nice if there was at least 2 trips to Bangor.
Easy direct route to Bar Harbor. The pickup spot in Bangor is not well-marked from Downeast or on the website. The pickup was in front of the green space at the city bus stops across from Infinity Credit Union.
