Lodged a complaint regarding how Doutta Gala Aged Care Footscray breached the Aged Care Codes of Conduct while handling the declining health and recent death of my father. You didn’t care to call me earlier about my father’s health decline or put him into palliative care and instead gave me late notice in an email that when our family visited him, we were shocked to see his emaciated condition that he couldn’t even drink water! Understaffed Aged Care Home whose staff have not been sufficiently trained. This establishment should not be trusted with caring for the elderly.

I’m the granddaughter of a resident in a nursing home in Victoria, and I just wanted to share my experience with some of the contractors who’ve been coming through lately. I’m not sure who they were working for, but they definitely weren’t the usual team we’re used to seeing. They walked in without introducing themselves, didn’t explain what they were doing, and barely acknowledged the residents or family in the room. Still waiting to hear back from them tried email and postal mail and no replies to yet. It's abit upsetting when you are trying to find information out on your relative.
