Many believe that Abe Doumar, founder of Doumar's Cones & Barbecue, gave the world its first ice cream cone. Doumar was a traveling salesman retailing paperweights at the famous St. Louis World's Fair in 1904. When an ice cream seller exhausted his stock of paper dishes to hold the ice creams, he got a nearby waffle maker to roll his waffles into cones and thus invented the waffle cone. Limeade and ice cream cones the best! In my 40 years going there
The food was great as usual. The waitress was horrible. We ordered $70 worth of food and shakes. The kids thought it was cool the shakes came in tall glasses, but the waitress served them in Styrofoam cups. When asked to put them in glasses for the kids she actually ripped the cup of the table crushing it and rolled her eyes. Sad part is, the kids asked to go here!
