Many believe that Abe Doumar, founder of Doumar's Cones & Barbecue, gave the world its first ice cream cone. Doumar was a traveling salesman retailing paperweights at the famous St. Louis World's Fair in 1904. When an ice cream seller exhausted his stock of paper dishes to hold the ice creams, he got a nearby waffle maker to roll his waffles into cones and thus invented the waffle cone. I love the food at this place! It's always fun hanging out here at lunch with friends.

I love the atmosphere and the history here! My sisters are here for the first time since the late 50s and early 60s!
I'm never going here again. I ordered 2 ringos and they didn't have any ice cream and when I called the store the manager was very rude and when I went to go get my money back he through the money at me. Very unacceptable
