Many believe that Abe Doumar, founder of Doumar's Cones & Barbecue, gave the world its first ice cream cone. Doumar was a traveling salesman retailing paperweights at the famous St. Louis World's Fair in 1904. When an ice cream seller exhausted his stock of paper dishes to hold the ice creams, he got a nearby waffle maker to roll his waffles into cones and thus invented the waffle cone. Been going to Dumars for over 50 years. To me it's a time of my pass but also a place in my future!
The food was great, and at the time I was big into Pokémon so I enjoy the battles with my BBQ.

It upsets me to read reviews from prerentious spoiled pricks who don't unserstand the nostalgia of this iconic place. I grew up eating here for 25 years now, and i compare it to going home to mom and having dinner. The warm cozy reminiscent atmosphere is awesome and comforting to have cheeseburgers and a cold miller. I love it, I always will. I hope it stays around for many years to come. Thank you Doumars for being part of my family...
