About this business
Many believe that Abe Doumar, founder of Doumar's Cones & Barbecue, gave the world its first ice cream cone. Doumar was a traveling salesman retailing paperweights at the famous St. Louis World's Fair in 1904. When an ice cream seller exhausted his stock of paper dishes to hold the ice creams, he got a nearby waffle maker to roll his waffles into cones and thus invented the waffle cone. This place is great awesome food and awesome ice crewman the staff is always super nice
This place is an historic landmark. Their food is always good and the prices are very reasonable. The place is always packed, inside and out, which tells you how popular this place is. But I think what really makes them stand out are their shakes, sundae's and ice cream cones. Oh, and the lime-aid. Nothing fancy here just good food, low prices, and a unique atmosphere. Hearkens back to the good old days.
What a great place to go and enjoy great food with old fashioned milkshakes! The service is great and the food is fresh.
