Be careful when seeking services from Dorsey CPA, especially if out of state. When you enter your card info in the portal after receiving proposal agreement, it will automatically take the full quote vs payment plan amount( if you chose to do a payment plan). We agreed to $150 but his parents portal does not have an option to pay another amount. He lied to my bank and said $1800 was a verifiable amount after we discussed a payment plan. I am fighting a claim to get my money returned.This agency is not BBB accredited.
As a previous reviewer expressed, similarly, my experience with Marcus Dorsey's office has been nothing short of frustrating. I too was referred to Marcus from Urban League of Greater Atlanta. Was referred to Marcus from Urban League Atlanta. Prepaid for tax services, 1500 dollars to be exact.Decided to go with another tax preparer. Called for my refund was told I would receive a check in the mail no less than 3 weeks. This happened in June. It is now September 15th I’ve called, texted and emailed. I’ve received correspondence about services but crickets about my refund. This is very frustrating to say the least. I just want my money back.
I contracted with Mr Dorsey last December to handle a matter with the IRS. Paid him in full. Haven’t heard from him since. I’ve called and left voicemails. I’ve spoken to his assistant who always says he’s in a meeting, even at 9 am or 5 pm. He’s always busy. I’ve emailed with no response.
Mr. Dorsey, I really need some acknowledgment from you regarding my 2020 income tax return. You do not return any of my phone calls or respond to emails. Please give me a call or email me. Beverly Cole-Luchansky
