They helped my family grow financially, I was able to save over 3 months worth of rent to put down in advance for our new home and purchase a new to me car. I was encouraged to go after and obtain a job I didn't feel qualified for, sadly after a year I ultimately was unable to handle the pressure from being newly postpartum, my newborn baby being hospitalized with rsv and raising a 2 year old alone, I ended up leaving that job but have since found another in the same field. I was referred by reno police victim advocate since very first day they have been my second family Silvia, Maryalice Carla and all the staff members are super supportive to me and my kids I got approved for transitioning housing program and I learned lots of things from them Financial assistance coach Mary Alice is amazing. Caw is not like it used to I don't feel as safe there as I use to.I have made to feel like I am not welcome there anymore.The last time I went I had just got out of the hospital and I had gotten put on oxygen.Me and a friend went to get some clothes and stuff there.We signed up for shopping, hygiene and food.When we got done shopping clothes.we were going to get some food I just got out of the hospital so food would really help me, Instead we were told it was for people who really need it, most people would not take the food... read more
