I was a bit hesitant about booking Dollar due to some negative reviews but our experience with Dollar at the Gold Coast was very good. We were in NZ and booked directly through the Australian Dollar website. The price was very affordable, the pick up hassle free, no hidden costs and the car we received was great value for money. Initially the confirmation email did not arrive (eek - panic!), but we sent an email to Dollar help - they answered almost right away and sent through a copy of the booking confirmation. I saw these reviews after I had booked a non-refundable hire and I was so scared of the service I was going to receive or I was going to be hit with $$$$ fees on return. Firstly, my flight to GC arrived at 10:30, it was late by 30 minutes. I filled the fuel tank for $130. And i used only one point and these guys charged me $60 for one point. Thats too dodgy!!! I would never recommend this rental to anyone.

HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE!!!! They won’t refund the deposit and then charged an extra $200 to my card for no reason. The car was washed, cleaned and returned with a full tank and no damage we did everything right. None of the customer service team speak or can understand English! They say they will refund the money and it’s been over three weeks of constant calling! What a scam of a business they should be ashamed of themselves.
