Simply put, the owner was fairly rude to me (not the end of the world) and shockingly rude to my 12 year old (matters to me much more). We went in to purchase some clothing for him- he’s an hobbyist who rides around 600+ miles/year on his regular bike but also rides to school and runs errands for us on an ebike. Unfortunately we didn’t realize that my son’s riding an ebike along with his regular bike would be so offensive to the owner. They seem like good people who know what they're doing. I appreciate their frank (if you're not expecting it, you may think it rude) advice. If you're looking for American 'sunshine and rainbows' shopping, you might not find it here, but you'll leave better for it.

I went into the store asking the man if they are open in the winter, told him I’m currently selling a bike, but want to buy a full suspension carbon in the winter. I told him I would rather give him business than a bigger company in the area. He proceeded to tell me that he won’t buy a full carbon bike to sit on and never sell, even though I asked him if he would order one for me. Stopped in to grab some tire sealant! Chatted with the staff for a bit and loved the over all shop they had built. What quality bike shop for locals and people looking to ride the Detroit Lakes area!
