They seem like good people who know what they're doing. I appreciate their frank (if you're not expecting it, you may think it rude) advice. If you're looking for American 'sunshine and rainbows' shopping, you might not find it here, but you'll leave better for it.

I went into the store asking the man if they are open in the winter, told him I’m currently selling a bike, but want to buy a full suspension carbon in the winter. I told him I would rather give him business than a bigger company in the area. He proceeded to tell me that he won’t buy a full carbon bike to sit on and never sell, even though I asked him if he would order one for me. Stopped in to grab some tire sealant! Chatted with the staff for a bit and loved the over all shop they had built. What quality bike shop for locals and people looking to ride the Detroit Lakes area!

A couple months ago I purchased a bike online, (not through this store) and the assembling was a lot harder than I expected.. luckily the DL bike shop was able to assemble and put it together for me that same day! I was very grateful and the price was decent. The reason for the two stars is when staff asked where I purchased the bike they basically made me feel bad for buying through somewhere else, “because that’s how bike stores go out of business.” The store has wonderful bikes but unfortunately out of my price range..
