I would definitely recommend this company! The rental experience was seamless. The vehicle was clean and perfect for our group of three, but it could easily have handled a lot more passengers. The iPad tour that they included was absolutely awesome! Their staff are incredible! I can't say enough about booking this experience. This is a must-do if you are in Skagway. Staff was very helpful and the self-guided tour was informative.
We knew the next time we visited here, we would rent a car and drive ourselves. I chose DIY Jeep rentals for their reputation but also their attached navigation and narration. We booked the “Self Guided Jeep Tour” with a Jeep Wrangler/Gladiator. It said we could pick up our Jeep as early as 7:30am, but the office actually did not open until 8am, the place is a little hut/shack/small stand alone building that is shared with AVIS, and it is just a block off the main drag. We had to take a shuttle from our ship (Ovation of the Seas) to town, then it was a ¼ mile walk to town, then another couple blocks walk to the rental place. DIY Jeep Tours shares their space with Avis. There was a letter on the window that noted if booked if would have booked through Avis, a Jeep would not be available.
