Hats off to Newville district! Thankfully Judge Cohick retired, your title or position should not be above another. I had a the pleasure of having a hearing rescheduled with Judge John Hanner II. I'm very blessed for that opportunity. As i was given a fake ticket and studied the site and day over and over wondering how i was radar at 85 mph when infact i was going 68 mph. First time being at this district. Worst district court I have been to in Cumberland county area. Avoid yourself tickets or having to see this judge or always have a lawyer. Judge Cohick does not like to hear people out as witnessed. Seems to talk down on people in court. District does not assist with those unable to afford ticket.. other districts do payment plans that fit for the ticket. Judge Has put her own personal experience and feelings in a hearing. Office staff and judge were both very helpful and considerate.
The judge didn’t listen or ask about my story, just told pay the the ticket even though the state trooper didn’t attend
