Fun fact of the day.... If you're driving the posted speed limit (even 5 over), and someone flys up on you like you're standing still, aggressively rides your bumper on a back road with no shoulder and has their hood pulled up looking like they're trying to hide their identity and you make a defensive move toward the double yellow to give yourself more road in case they're having a really shitty day and make a dumb move, you are now the aggressor. As the “defendant” in a summary case I had to inform the office staff that fingerprinting is not mandatory for a summary theft of services citation. The lady I spoke with replied ”yes you do, theft of services and retail theft are the same charge.” She was absolutely incorrect and she later found out she was wrong. I shouldn’t have to teach the magistrate’s office on policy. I suggest she brush up on the law before mailing out mandatory fingerprint orders.
