Having a local shop here in the DMV is awesome! But, having a local shop that cares about their customer base is even more amazing. I am a novice angler and new to fly fishing. I feel welcomed and well received whenever I go to District Angling. They are knowledgeable and connect well to the full spectrum of anglers. I wish I could give them 6 stars! Matt
Fantastic customer service and knowledge!
My first stop when I am preparing for a fishing trip. Rich and his team are always willing to share their knowledge on the best places to fish or names of local experts that I can contact when I reach my destination. They also offer great fly tying classes on the weekend. If you are looking for any kind of support to get started or stay excited about fishing, this is your place! Super dog friendly too!!
As someone new to the DC, District Angling has been a highlight and great way to acclimate to the area. Not only does the shop have everything you need - from gear to insight - but it’s also a great community!
The best fly shop in the DC area. Richard is outstanding with knowledge, help, and a good story as well while you're shopping. I frequent his store whenever I'm in town. The best.
