Took the Fly Fishing boot camp and learned so much and all it made me want to do is get more into the sport. Absolutely recommend for anyone interested, learned a ton and had a ton of fun
Really enjoy going to the shop and talking with the folks there. Ivan and Rich are very knowledgeable and more than willing to give you some of their time to tell you all about local fisheries and tying advice. The Saturday morning tying classes are taught by local tiers who do a great job at explaining each step in depth and cover multiple techniques. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed every session I’ve attended. Highly recommend stopping in to gear up and learn more about the local waters.
This store was a rare find for me. I have been visit the DC area every few months for two years with the idea of fishing the Patomac. I'm from California. I brought my 6 piece 6wt along on my first trip, now stored at my son's apartment in Friendship Heights. My idea: ride the Metro and fish the river whenever I could.
