I went here from 2015-2016. I have heard that certain pieces have improved about DRA (DRG at the time I attended). Testimonials form students and parents, in my opinion are not reliable. I came out of DRG feeling empowered, strong and like my issues were healed. The real reality? My survival mechanisms kicked in to get me out of that program after months of being stuck and seeing no other option other than to comply to the program. Nothing healed. I went to DRG when I was 15 from 2021-2022. I don't know if they still have this protocol I hope to the God I don't believe in that they don't. I was put on "review" for almost 3 months. That basically meant I was locked in a room with two staff members at all hours of the day. I was force fed insane amounts of drugs, many of which I don't even know the names of including ativan at least 5 times a day. Which is insane and definitely shouldn't be legal. I was a student at DRS for 11 months, from February 2022 - January 2023, and in that time I endured more trauma than anyone should ever have to go through. This rating is not solely for DRS, but for the industry as a whole. Please do not send your kids here.
My daughter attended DRS for one year from March 2023 to April 2024. No place or people are perfect. But DRS was truly incredibly healing for her and our family. She had struggled for years with various issues. This team was the very first to break through to her and help her move forward. Due to the structured but nurturing environment, my daughter not only thrived but soared.
