Discover Diving is one of Buffalo's oldest and most respected professional diving centers. The business was started by Dallas Edmiston who has been teaching diving in western New York since 1974. The retail store opened in 1992 and today is operated as a partnership with his twin brother, Darryl Edmiston. I can't speak highly enough of my experience with Discover Diving and Darryl. I was planning a trip for Indonesia and being a relatively new diver I needed direction in buying full gear. I started at Dip N Dive for a refresher course and advice on the trip itself as well as equipment. The person that was the dive instructor was minimally helpful at best so I thought I would try the Scuba shop in Hamburg. That was an indescribably horrible experience from him selling me a used bread box size dive computer with no instructions... read more
