Discover Diving is one of Buffalo's oldest and most respected professional diving centers. The business was started by Dallas Edmiston who has been teaching diving in western New York since 1974. The retail store opened in 1992 and today is operated as a partnership with his twin brother, Darryl Edmiston. One of the few Ziegle certified shops If you have Ziegle equiptment, this is the place to take your gear. Very good people right in the store (I usually need to send my regulator away to be certified). I was so happy to find them. PROS: They do ziegle equiptment CONS:

I can't speak highly enough of my experience with Discover Diving and Darryl. I was planning a trip for Indonesia and being a relatively new diver I needed direction in buying full gear. I started at Dip N Dive for a refresher course and advice on the trip itself as well as equipment. The person that was the dive instructor was minimally helpful at best so I thought I would try the Scuba shop in Hamburg. That was an indescribably horrible experience from him selling me a used bread box size dive computer with no instructions... read more
Darryl was professional, knowledgeable,patient and thorough in helping me chose and understand my dive equipment I purchased there. I wouldn't be able to say enough positive things regarding my experience especially since Dip N Dive was not bad but somewhat disappointing and Professional Scuba was downright horrible. Go see Darryl and his staff - you will not be disappointed!!
Discover Diving provides quality instruction with no hidden costs. They take the time to make sure you both know and understand what you are being taught. You will not be pushed and they will work with you until you are comfortable. Moreover you will not have equipment pushed at you.
