I want to share a detailed account of my experience with Emily Pomrinca at Diamond State Counseling so others know what to expect. I was enrolled in an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP with Charlie Health)and making steady progress. Despite this, Emily and the clinic repeatedly pressured me to join a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP). I was a patient at here, and unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. I was in the middle of a serious mental health crisis and needed short-term disability documentation, which my provider initially agreed to help with. However, she later left the practice and refused to follow through—without requesting any additional documentation from my therapist or providing a referral. I will never return to this place again. Very very disorganized and poor patient care. My daughter and I were patients there. Our appointments were constantly rescheduled. I had a hard time getting copies of anything. I was told I had to pick them up. They would not email them or mail them. Every time we would start seeing a counselor and got comfortable we were told that that particular provider was not in network with our insurance??? Why we were not told prior to seeing the provider… I do not know. This happened 3 times. ... read more
I've never experienced such bad care as I did here... if you can go elsewhere, please do. I had Amanda Gerrick and she not only made my mental health issues worse because of not helping me properly, but then she dismissed me as a client because I became suicidal. I ended up in the hospital because of how bad the care was. I've considered legal action, but she called crisis before terminating me as a client, so she did the bare minimum. Dont go here.
