We went with Deseret First because this is our credit union, so assumed the process would be easy and payments would be simplified. We began our loan process end of March. Returned all the paperwork within a week. We were approved quickly. It is now almost August and we STILL HAVE NOT CLOSED! Our loan agent, Ben, is horrible at communication. WORST CREDIT UNION EVER!!!!!
Terrible bank! They charged for all kinds of fees without letting us know. They say "It's your responsibility" in order to hide behind them taking money from your direct deposit. We paid off our car loan and will never do business with them again! I completely agree with Karmicjustice!
You know they are hurting when they start stealing. – Guess what your credit union is taking money from there customers unethically but with in the limits of the law should that be ok to do. I payed 50.00 in fees for two checks that where covered by my available balance but had two pending transactions From my card that funds where not available for that did get fees also. Great Bank with Great Programs – I appreciate the wonderful customer service I have received at Deseret First Credit Union. As I mentioned in my comment below to "Karmicjustice", It's easy to blame an institution for the consequences of mismanaging your own finances. For the responsible banker, Deseret First has wonderful programs that encourage great money-saving habits, and rewards you for your efforts. I have been thrilled with their competitive interest rates and exceptional customer service.
disgruntled – Hypocrisy can be defined as insincerity by virtue of pretending to have qualities or beliefs that you do not really have. I am a person with very little respect for the banking systems today and Deseret first is certainly no exception. Don't be fooled by the name or affiliation, this credit union is chomping at the bit to take your money from you in the most immoral way. Shame on Deseret first for presenting themselves as anything other than one more banking institution looking to profit from members.
