Horrible. School lunches are disgusting, and in Elementary school even if you are failing in every class you will not get held back. Some schools have discrimination against Spanish only speaking students, as they don't offer Spanish classes and instead are forced to fail every one. Also each school I've been to has a lunch time of 15 minutes or shorter which is horrible.
The schools are hit and miss (all schools seem like 1/10 adults actually care about the students.) The transportation department is a joke with speeding buses, buses not showing up for the kids till 2 hours after school. The drivers never update the bus numbers so you don't know if your gets getting on the right bus or not! Basically dps needs to do better on all sides!!! How does one actually get ahold of the superintendent?? Does he know about these things and ignore them? Is he 9/10 adults that don't care?

It strikes me as odd and unfair especially since most these kids are not typically coming from northern climates like Iceland where they haven’t ever been exposed to heat. I am all for immigration and migrants but why do they take priority over kids that’s have lived here since birth. This is how DPS operates... read more
