I’m so over Denton ISD Transportation. We’ve only been riding the bus since January and my child has legitimately not been picked up over ten times. Once being when it was 19 darn degrees outside. Nobody is that doggone forgetful, incompetent? Yes. No real apologies or accountability. It’s draining. I should post my call logs to show often I have to call this darn place.

The staff for DISD transportation sucks especially the bus drivers. As with other complaints of the staff and drivers, I've also encountered issues this school year ...something I have never experienced in the past at other districts. My son just came off what I think was an unjustified suspension from the bus. The afternoon bus driver is known for leaving kids (even closing the door in their faces) and is just outright rude. My son said she stares him down through the rearview mirror, which makes him feel very uncomfortable... read more

At this point I’ll be reaching out to the board of education, police, news stations and the city of Denton. I’m fed up with attempting to communicate with Denton ISD transportation and its staff ! These bus drivers and the entire staff at the Disd do not care for the children at all. The bus driver drives off before the kids can cross the street most days. This is the worst school transportation I’ve ever encountered. I have had issues with them since moving here last year. Particularly the bus for Providence elementary bus #001 which is now 023. one incident last school year the bus driver let kindergarteners off without their parents being there because the bus came really early. Could never come at the scheduled time they give you. People are often rude when you call the transportation phone number.
