I went here to transfer my car title and wrote my full name correctly, but the clerk made a mistake with my second last name. When I went back, instead of fixing it, they told me I had to either pay again or wait while they “verify” if it was my fault or theirs. They gave me a date (Sept 25), but when I returned—even after waiting extra days—they said they still didn’t have the information and admitted it could take 1–2 months. This tax assessor does not accept inspection passes from counties outside of Denton. That's fine, Texas allows each tax assessor to determine their own rules. What's not fine is the clerk taking inspection passes and refusing to give it back. My autistic brother went here to get his sticker renewed and the clerk refused to give him back his inspection pass. He did not know what to do so he left. Thankfully I had taken a picture on my phone so we could reprint it in the case he lost it. I never imaged a clerk would STEAL it. ... read more
