This place is the goods. We spent three nights of camping in Denali with our four kids, and rented the key pieces (tent, sleeping pads, camp stove...) from DMW. The guy working there was just the best, helping us figure out what little extras we did (and did not) need. And the gear was great quality - the inflatable sleeping pads were absolutely revolutionary for my wife and myself (who were used to sleeping on the old yoga-mat-style sleeping pads - it's been a while!) Went thinking that we would need to buy new hiking boots but upon inspection by the store keeper, he resolved our issue with a fixing option for 1/16th of price. Also picked up a few items that were the same price as in normal states! NO ALASKA PRICE. All prices are normal msrp and store manager is extremely knowledgeable!

Very helpful people. Recommended for any camping related purchase. The prices for most of the rental items were quite low despite being the only shop with such products.

Great shop with a wide range of items useful for hikers, campers and cyclists. Lady that runs the place is an all round star, super helpful and friendly.
