I got to spend exactly 7 minutes here. It was a ridiculous sprint from A22 to A32 through a ridiculous crowd, all seemingly walking in the opposite direction. My flight landing into SLC was late, for no real reason. I then got the slow motion ground-tour-via-plane of the SLC airport and all of it's construction all over the place. What could have been a fast taxi from the runway to the gate was a hellish 3 mph crawl around what seemed like the entire airport, and part of the lake. Consistently the worst Delta experience in the country—and I say that as a Platinum Medallion member. Not once have I received an upgrade out of Salt Lake City, despite flying regularly and meeting every eligibility requirement. The Delta staff here are disengaged, unhelpful, and seem indifferent to loyalty status. If you’re expecting recognition, efficiency, or even basic courtesy, look elsewhere. This airport and its Delta operation are a black hole for customer service.
