Delta does not allow their first class passengers to use the only lounge in Salt Lake City airport. In order to use the only lounge available you have to be in first class and have purchased their credit card. Lifeline first class without first class service?
I've averaged about a dozen flights a year recently, almost always through Delta. It is my preferred airline. People like to fixate on the negatives--a missed flight or layover--that might be an isolated incident. In my last dozen+ flights, I've only had one delay, which was in the last couple of weeks and amounted to a 4 hour delay. Hardly ideal, and it would have been bad if we had a connecting flight, but our situation was salvageable. Rude customer service at Salt lake City Airport. The the customer service desk I ask to have a boarding pass printed out. The first person said they would be happy to help and then just pointed to a computer terminal. The computer had no options for printing a boarding pass. I then asked Lupi at the the desk and she seemed very upset to be bothered. She was rude and demanded my ID. During all this time I was the only customer in the area. D.E.L.T.A = Doesn't Ever Leave The Airport. (And definitely doesn't care once they strand you.) We paid over $5,000 for 4 Delta flights to Japan -- a dream trip 5 years in the making.
