First impression of Delmar Memory Care facility. Looked like a nice Bed and Breakfast. It's very clean and is designed well. Staff are wonderful and understanding for clients and their families. Scheduled check ups, showers, laundry meal, and Dr visits. Even helped me get my mom to salon. My mom prides herself on her appearance. My mom is able to do some things for herself and likes to keep busy when she can. Staff allows her to help with what she can do, like fold clothes. It's a nice, clean assisted living facility. We have a good relationship with the house manager and that means a lot.
I volunteered at Delmar Manor Assisted Living, and loved my experience spending time with the staff and residents. The nurses and staff are so compassionate and attentive, they work hard to ensure the residents are comfortable, and feel cared for. Everyone I encountered here was so kind, and so helpful to the families and residents struggling with the transition. The residents and I always had a good time playing games, watching movies or shows, or just having conversations. I love this place!!
What activities? One of my parents has been there and hasn't been participating in any activities. When I visit no matter what time of day, everyone is there passed out or walking around like zombies.
