I waited to write this review until after 5 visits and I can say without hesitation that Melissa Arakelian is a knowledgable, professional, and caring lymphedema therapist (I don't know the official title). I suffer from head and neck radiation side effects and lymphedema is certainly an issue. The procedures are explained thoroughly, she listens carefully and answers any questions in depth. I recently visited this office for help obtaining mastectomy bras (fully covered by my insurance), and the experience was extremely frustrating. For a business that should understand the importance of post-mastectomy care, their lack of cooperation and compassion was unacceptable. Melissa was not helpful with working with my insurance, and repeatedly made the process much harder than it needed to be. I have had the most amazing experience here. Mel has been a wonderful practitioner and has helped me on my journey with breast cancer from even before I had a double mastectomy. She continues to work with me almost a year later and has helped communicate with my insurance so that they have continued to cover my visits. Mel is genuine, open and committed to the healing of others. She listens well to feedback and adjusts treatment accordingly. Plus she is just a really good person! Highly recommend!
Melissa is an AMAZING specialist, I was referred to her by my Onocologist’s assistant after struggling with swelling/tightness after mastectomy. She was both kind & professional in the most respectful manor both in treatments & emotional care for my needs.
