I took a chance and tried a new location for tea, since I now work close to this store. I was hoping for my typical Persian tea, which I've seen at many locations, but unfortunately there was a very small selection of loose-leaf tea here. Based on the sound the tea made when tilted, I should have doubted that there were actual leaves contained in the box, but I asked the clerk and he assured me the pieces were not tiny, but the leaves I was familiar with. Best store to stock up on all your South Asian pantry staples for under $100 starting from scratch. Great deal on $5.99 cooking utensils set and $9.99 marble mortar & pestle. Clean store, nothing is dusty, everything organized AND alphebetized (!) which I truly appreciated. Also very helpful staff (father and daughter of this family-owned business I believe). The perfect one-stop shop! Same owners as Jack's Island Market, which skews more Fijian/Samoan/Tongan and also has a butchery section.
One of the best Indian stores I have been to! Don’t let the small looking exterior fool you! This store is PACKED with a fantastic selection! I was able to find all the spices and herbs I was looking for, plus some truly amazing imported incense! And the help inside the store and the prices were all great! I will absolutely make this a regular stop! Great location near downtown, too!
This place is a joke! Just avoid it!
